who is ben zed online?

i'm ben zed. welcome to ben zed online. i'm a hobbyist programmer and math geek. i like having fun and i like it when other people have fun, so i've always loved designing and playing games. i created my website so that i could share my games with the world and have an easily accessible reference guide for them. i'm very bad at chess but i'm great at connect four.

when i was a kid, i really wanted to learn java so that i could make minecraft mods. i wanted a book that could teach me java more than anything. i went to the library and, in my childish naivete, checked out a book on javascript instead. now i'm a webdev. no regrets.

all of the articles, documents, and programs on ben zed online are human written by my two god given hands. everything you see here is proudly generative ai free. i didnt read JavaScript for Kids cover to cover just for claude code to have all the fun.
